My name is Leonie Dittli, I am a design student based in Zurich, Switzerland. In my studies Trends & Identity at the Zurich University of the Arts, I question social developments, get to know new design research methods and learn about social issues and how I can communicate them to a broad audience.
As much as I enjoy doing online and offline research, I highly appreciate the opportunity to work with the material during my studies. Whether it's a material I'm familiar with, like textiles, or ones I haven't used much until this point, like synthetic materials. I love discovering their characteristic, surfaces, understanding their origins, semantics and questioning my own values about them.

I love to analyse, to rethink, to combine, to think further and exchange with people, no matter if they have the same opinion as me or not.
I am interested in the field of gender, equality, whether this means ecological or social and sustainability. It is important to me to point out injustices, to give or create platforms and to shed light on what is not shown
I work in a curious manner and often follow my intuitions. I am very much in my element when I am surrounded by materials, shapes, colours and people, who are passionate about what they are doing.
