Module “New Images of Age(ing)", Zurich University of the Arts, May 2021, four weeks.
Within this Module I collaborated with Justine Yee, a fellow student. Together we searched for new images of Age and Ageing.
Our work deals with generational exchange and breaking down stereotypes in relation of clothing and gender.
We matched two people, one baby boomer and one individual from Generation Z. They are either grandparent – grandchild, godmother – godchild or two strangers whom we connected. The first picture shows the people in their everyday clothes. The second picture shows the people in an outfit from their photo partner.
In the conversation with the participants, it became clear how little transgenerational contact there is. At the same time there is a desire for this exchange. Unfortunately, there is a lack of space for it. Interesting was as welle our own realization of the little transgenerational contact we have.
