NÜT is an object made of unfired porcelain, which is a reminder of your own consumerism. NÜT is designed, produced and sold by me.
I started from the idea that everything society needs already exists and that the own consumerism should be question more often. Buyers of NÜT are feeling fulfilled and joyful because of the consumerist act, while not creating any unnecessary waste.
NÜT does not disrupt the regular life cycle of the material. After enjoying the object one can put the NÜT in the garden, park or flowerpot. Over time with the help of rain, NÜT dissolves into nothing, leaving behind flower seeds, which were inside the object.
NÜT is the Swiss German word for nothing, and plays with the irony of buying something but being able to reintroduce it to nature in a harmonic way leaving nothing.

The disappearance of the NÜT
I developed the form with used plastic bottles and cans.
Two plaster moulds were created.
The object is filled with flower seeds.
Around 20 pieces were produced and sold.
Packaging made out of recycled carton.
